About Us

At the Kitchen & Bath Cottage of Shreveport, Louisiana, we take pride in our work and strive to give our clients the most innovative design with the highest quality materials available.

We specialize in truly custom spaces, designed to make your vision a reality. We craft each environment using our wealth of design experience, along with a fresh and creative eye. Though no two designs are identical, our home designs are bound by a common theme. The Kitchen & Bath Cottage brings every element of each project together – from cabinetry and appliances to windows and doors as well as tile and stone, Phantom Screens and Solatube – together in a cohesive way. The comfort of the process will only be out shined by the joy brought by a truly personalized space just for you!

Design Team

 

Terry and Mary Ann Elston, Owners

The Kitchen & Bath Cottage is owned by Terry & Mary Ann Elston. Terry’s 30+ years of construction experience joins his reputation for detailed design and craftsmanship, as well as integrity in business practices. Those principles are echoed in the Kitchen & Bath Cottage’s approach, combined with the benefit of sound construction and remodeling expertise at hand. Mary Ann has a B.S. in Accounting from LSU and is also a professional photographer.

Terry & Mary Ann have seven children: his (Andrew & David), mine (Christopher, Brennan & Connor) and ours (Catherine & Collin). They are also blessed with three daughters-in-law and five grandchildren!

 
 

 

Kori Shurley, Interior Designer

“Our main goal is to create something special for each and every client.” With communication as a priority, Kori works closely with each client to develop space suited just for them. 

Kori graduated from Louisiana Tech with a Bachelor of Interior Design. Kori joined the Kitchen & Bath Cottage in 2004. With over ten years of residential design experience, she guides clients through the creative process, enabling them to make smart choices tailored specifically to their needs.

Kori continues her professional development yearly and has had many projects featured in the Parade of Homes, as well as local publications.

Kori is married to Scott and has twin daughters, Grace & Emmalyne.

   

April Sharlow, Interior Designer

“Kitchens should be designed around what’s truly important – fun, food, and family”. As an interior designer, April’s goal is always to create a space based on the client’s vision and how they live.

As a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, April has more than 10 years of professional experience in the design industry. April joined the Kitchen & Bath Cottage in 2012.

April is a licensed interior designer, NCIDQ certified, and a professional member of the American Society
of Interior Designers.

April is married to John and has one daughter, Laura.


 
 

Mary Patten, Director of Sales and Marketing

Mary graduated from LSU with a B.S. in Psychology. She joined our team in 2009 as Director of Sales & Marketing. She came to the Kitchen & Bath Cottage with several years of experience in marketing and sales. She has since completed SubZero, Wolf and Miele training. Mary also attending extensive Marvin Windows and Door training in Warroad, Minnesota. She is a Window and Door specialist. Mary is also a member of the NKBA.

Mary has extensive knowledge of appliances and plumbing fixtures, as well as a great eye for design in decorative tile. 

Mary is married to Jason and has two daughters, Kathryn & Victoria.

 

   

Brenda Lupo, Business Manager

Brenda Lupo joined the Cottage in the spring of 2013 as the Business Manager. She graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Northwestern State University and has 29 years experience in business management. Her warm, inviting personality leads the team at the Cottage and she is often the first person who welcomes our clients into the Cottage.

Brenda is married to Wayne and has two children, Lauren & Jared.

 

 
   

Christopher Randel, Sales

Christopher Randel joined the Kitchen & Bath Cottage in the spring 2012 and is the Marvin Window and Door specialist as well as the Solatube/Solar Star specialist. He is a Certified Installer with Solatube. He graduated from University of Louisiana in Lafayette in 2011 with a degree in Computer Information Systems and he spent the first couple of years after graduation working for a computer software company. Christopher also handles Phantom Screen consultations and appliance sales.

Kitchen and Bath Cottage knows that when clients choose to remodel, they’re not just updating a house—they’re enhancing the home they’ve come to love over the years.
